Three Trails Behavioral Hospital in Independence, MO is seeking a dedicated Lead Mental Health Technician to join our overnight team. This role combines direct patient care with leadership responsibilities, serving as a resource to staff to ensure safe and patient-centered care.

The Lead MHT will supervise overnight shifts, maintain a structured environment, and collaborate with nursing and clinical staff to support patient care plans in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and observational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Must be able to manage challenging behaviors with professionalism and empathy
• Current BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hire
• Ability to work 12 hour shifts overnight

Responsabilités

• Provide direct patient care and supervision in a behavioral health setting
• Act as a shift resource for MHT staff, offering guidance and support as needed
• Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment at all times
• Conduct routine patient safety checks and observations
• Support patients with daily living activities as appropriate
• Respond appropriately to situations and behavioral escalations
• Collaborate with nursing and clinical staff to support patient care plans
