Qualifications

• Previous experience in cook or kitchen leadership role.
• BBQ, smokehouse, or Southern cuisine experience is a plus.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and communicate with a team.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations; ServSafe preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook BBQ menu items to recipe standards, ensuring consistent quality and flavor
• Assist in managing daily kitchen and front-of-house operations
• Supervise and support kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed
• Monitor food inventory, place orders, and minimize waste
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health code standards
• Help open and/or close the restaurant, including cash handling and end-of-day procedures
• Step in for the General Manager as needed to keep operations running smoothly
