Job summary

Smart Tech Contracting, LLC is seeking a Building Automation Lead Field Technician to oversee BAS/HVAC projects across multiple U.S. locations.

You will lead field teams, install and wire BAS controllers, coordinate with subcontractors, and support startup, commissioning and closeout activities for mission-critical data center projects. The role requires knowledge of HVAC, BAS platforms (Distech Controls, Tridium Niagara), and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HVAC, mechanical and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of BAS platforms Distech Controls and Tridium Niagara.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate installation teams and subcontractors on BAS/HVAC projects.
• Assist in startup, commissioning, testing, and closeout activities.
• Maintain project communication with managers, clients, and vendors.
• Contribute to estimating, takeoffs and proposal input.
• Complete assigned tasks on time and within budget.
