Job summary

Wonder Gate LLC in San Diego, CA is seeking a talented Lead Bartender to lead our bar team, craft exceptional cocktails, and deliver standout guest experiences in a fast-paced, energetic environment.

You should have 3+ years of bartending with at least 1 year in a lead role, strong knowledge of cocktails, wines, and beers, and be able to train staff, manage inventory, and uphold health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of bartending experience, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer
• California RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) certification and Food Handlers Certification or ability to obtain one

Responsibilities

• Craft and serve a wide variety of cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine with consistency and flair
• Lead and mentor bar staff, providing guidance on drink preparation, service standards, and best practices
• Manage bar inventory, ordering, and stock rotation to minimize waste and ensure availability
• Develop and update cocktail menus, seasonal specials, and signature drinks
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant bar environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
• Deliver exceptional guest service, handling customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally
• Collaborate with management on bar operations, staffing, and cost control initiatives
