Job summary

Capitol Garage Inc. in Sacramento, CA is seeking an energetic Lead Server / Bartender to lead front-of-house and bar operations. You will craft cocktails, manage the service team, and ensure a memorable guest experience in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires 2+ years in bartending or serving, leadership experience preferred, and knowledge of cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits. California Food Handler Card and RBS certification are required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of bartending and/or serving experience in a high-volume restaurant or bar setting.
• Prior leadership or lead bartender experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine.

Responsibilities

• Craft and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages with consistency and flair
• Lead and support front-of-house staff, providing guidance and setting the standard for service excellence
• Take food and beverage orders, deliver meals, and ensure a seamless dining experience for guests
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar and service area throughout each shift
• Handle cash, credit, and POS transactions accurately and efficiently
• Monitor guest alcohol consumption and uphold responsible beverage service (RBS) standards
• Assist with opening and closing duties, inventory checks, and bar prep
• Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction
