Job summary

Grand Traverse Resort & Casinos in Williamsburg, MI is seeking a Lead Banquet Server to assist in setup and teardown, ensure decor and presentation, and oversee floor staff to deliver fast, friendly service.

You will coordinate with chefs/back-of-house staff to replenish food and work with event coordinators to address questions or concerns during service. This role requires leadership and a focus on seamless event execution.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Must be willing to learn and grow in business.
• Must be knowledgeable with Michigan Liquor Control Commission Laws; SERV Safe certified or certification within 6 months of hire required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the staging of equipment, including China, glassware, flatware and serving stations.
• Assign tasks to banquet servers and direct on-floor staff during events.
• Train new staff in a consistent fashion.
• Resolve employee conflicts, upset customers, and wrong orders quickly and effectively.
