Job summary

JPMorganChase in Jersey City is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to drive design and implementation of critical technology solutions across Java, Spring Boot, and Python in a secure, scalable enterprise environment.

You will lead AI/ML-enabled features from discovery to production, translate business requirements into technical specs, and deliver high-quality production code within an Agile framework.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in Software Engineering with 5+ years of applied experience.
• Strong Java and Spring Boot experience, including building and supporting production services.
• Proficient in Python and enterprise system integration.
• Solid understanding of SDLC, CI/CD, resiliency/observability, and security.
• Experience building RESTful services and distributed systems.
• Hands-on AI/ML integration in production.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and support enterprise apps using Java, Spring Boot, and Python.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend components.
• Deliver AI/ML features through full development life cycle using Agile methodology.
• Translate business requirements into software specifications and milestones.
• Write secure, production-grade code with focus on quality and maintainability.
• Design, develop, and troubleshoot AI/ML solutions and data pipelines.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications.
• Analyze and visualize large data sets to drive improvements.
• Identify patterns to improve coding hygiene and system reliability.
• Contribute to engineering communities and explore new AI/ML technologies.
