Job summary

JPMorgan Chase, a leading financial services firm, seeks a Lead Software Engineer in New Jersey to design, develop, and troubleshoot advanced software solutions within its Commercial & Investment Bank. You will drive AI-assisted coding practices, mentor teams, and lead architectural evaluations while ensuring security and performance across services.

The role demands strong Python/Java experience, AWS and microservices, relational databases, and deep understanding of software design patterns.

Qualifications

BS degree in Computer Science or Math.
5+ years Python/Java applications development experience (Python/Core Java/Advanced Java/Spring/Hibernate/JAXB/REST).
5+ years Microservices/AWS cloud development.
5+ years relational database development (Oracle) and OOP databases.
Experience with AI-assisted development tools and validating AI outputs.

Responsibilities

Execute creative software solutions and design, develop, and troubleshoot as part of the team.
Develop secure high-quality production code, review and debug code.
Drive team adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices and establish validation standards.
Apply SDLC tools including AI-assisted development and automation capabilities.
Identify opportunities to automate remediation and improve operational stability.
Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams on architecture.
Lead communities of practice to promote new technologies.
Contribute to a culture of diversity and inclusion.
