Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is hiring a Senior Lead Software Engineer in Jersey City to push the envelope in Python, AWS, and AI/LLM-enabled technology. You will work on scalable data pipelines and model inference services within an agile team, delivering secure, reliable market-leading software solutions.

You will lead technical design, code reviews, and cross-functional collaboration with AI/ML teams, product partners, and security stakeholders to ensure robust, scalable results in a cloud environment.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
• Experience leading the use of enterprise AI-assisted software development tools with the ability to set team expectations for validating AI outputs.
• Strong knowledge of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, security and resiliency standards.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical guidance to business and technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Develops secure, high-quality production code and reviews code written by others.
• Drives decisions influencing product design, application functionality, and operations.
• Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more focus areas.
• Contributes to engineering community with firm-wide SDLC frameworks and practices.
• Collaborates with AI/ML teams and product partners to drive alignment and AI adoption.
• Hands-on architecture and implementation of lighthouse ML/LLM-powered solutions.
• Designs and deploys scalable data pipelines and model inference services.
• Experiment, productionize ML models and deploy to public cloud.
• Promotes AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, testing, and release readiness.
• Uses SDLC toolchain and AI-assisted development capabilities to boost automation.
