Job summary

SHI is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to lead Azure-based cloud infrastructure, drive IaC using Terraform, and orchestrate automation with Python, Bash, and Jenkins/GitHub Actions. You will design scalable, cost-efficient solutions, manage containerized environments with Docker and Kubernetes, and mentor junior engineers.

The role emphasizes security governance, incident response, and collaboration with DevOps and software teams to deliver reliable cloud-native platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of cloud infrastructure experience.
• Expertise in Microsoft Azure (VMs, storage, Networking, Monitor, Key Vault).
• Designing Terraform modules, IaC pipelines at scale.
• Scripting in Python; advanced Bash scripting; Linux administration.
• Experience with Jenkins pipelines and Groovy scripts; GitHub Actions.
• Docker and Kubernetes expertise; container orchestration and deployment.
• Deep knowledge of Azure IAM, RBAC, Policy, network security.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD tooling, and Agile environments.
• Willingness to travel to SHI events; pursuing relevant cloud certifications.
• AWS/Azure/Azure certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Azure-based cloud infrastructure design, deployment, and automation.
• Develop reusable IaC modules and Terraform frameworks.
• Create automation scripts in Python and Bash for provisioning and config management.
• Maintain Linux shell scripts for orchestration and automation workflows.
• Oversee CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins and GitHub Actions with Groovy scripts.
• Build and manage Docker/Kubernetes environments for production deployments.
• Lead incident response and perform root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with software and DevOps teams to shape secure cloud architectures.
• Ensure cloud security governance and compliance best practices.
• Document architectures, workflows, and technical standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive infrastructure improvements.
• Evaluate Azure services and emerging automation tools.
