Job summary

SHI International Corp. is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to lead Azure-based cloud infrastructure design, deployment, and automation.

You will develop reusable Terraform modules, automate provisioning with Python and Bash, and manage Docker/Kubernetes environments for scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud solutions. You will mentor engineers, collaborate with DevOps and security teams, and drive best practices across CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of cloud infrastructure experience with expertise in Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud.
• Experience designing Terraform modules, managing state, and building IaC pipelines at scale.
• Proficient in Python and Bash for automation; Linux system admin and orchestration.
• Production experience with Jenkins and Groovy pipelines; Docker and Kubernetes expertise.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, IAM, RBAC, and network security.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD workflows, and Agile/Scrum environments.
• Willingness to travel to SHI events as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, deployment, and management of Azure-based cloud infrastructure with automation, scalability, reliability, and cost optimization.
• Architect and develop reusable IaC modules and Terraform frameworks.
• Design and implement automation in Python and Bash for provisioning, configuration, and operations.
• Develop and maintain Linux shell scripts for orchestration and automation workflows.
• Administer and optimize Jenkins and GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines, with Groovy scripts and shared libraries.
• Build and maintain Docker and Kubernetes environments for production deployments.
• Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and preventive measures.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across diverse stacks and adapt to new languages/frameworks.
• Collaborate with software/DevOps teams to translate requirements into secure, scalable cloud architectures.
• Establish and enforce cloud security best practices, governance, and compliance.
• Document architectures, automation workflows, runbooks, and standards.
• Mentor junior cloud engineers and drive technical initiatives.
• Evaluate Azure service updates and emerging tooling for automation.
• Drive continuous improvement for infra efficiency, performance, and cost.
