Job summary

SHI International Corp. is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to lead Azure-based cloud infrastructure, IaC design with Terraform, and automation efforts. The role emphasizes mentoring, collaboration with DevOps and security teams, and delivering scalable, cost-efficient cloud-native solutions.

The position requires expertise in Python, Bash, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins and GitHub Actions. Remote opportunity with strong focus on best practices and governance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of cloud infrastructure experience with Azure, AWS and/or Google Cloud.
• Deep Terraform IaC expertise with modular design and scalable state management.
• Strong Python scripting for automation and integrations.
• Advanced Bash scripting and Linux system administration.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production.
• Knowledge of Azure IAM, RBAC, Policy and cloud security principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, deployment, and management of Azure-based cloud infrastructure with automation and cost optimization.
• Develop reusable IaC modules and frameworks using Terraform.
• Create automation solutions with Python and Bash for provisioning and configuration.
• Maintain shell scripts for Linux orchestration and workflows.
• Administer CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins and GitHub Actions; write Groovy pipelines.
• Build and manage Docker and Kubernetes environments for production deployments.
• Lead incident response, root-cause analysis, and preventive measures.
• Mentor junior engineers and translate requirements into secure cloud architectures.
