Job summary

UNICOM Government, Inc. in Greensboro, NC seeks an Electronics Technician to install, maintain, and repair high-end AV, video, and telecommunications systems. You will perform site surveys, plan installations, and provide on-site support and remote troubleshooting to ensure project success.

The role requires 5+ years in AV/IP/Unified Communications, strong problem-solving, and the ability to supervise others on-site. Valid CTS certifications are preferred, and OSHA safety practices are expected.

Qualifications

• AS in EE or related degree/certifications or related experience.
• 5+ years of AV/IP/Unified Comms experience.
• Avixa CTS certification is required; CTS-D/CTS-I is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform Site Surveys using blueprints/floor plans and prepare reports.
• Develop Job Plans, materials lists, and schedules.
• Install and configure AV infrastructure, racks, and cables.
• Test systems (CAT5e/6, fiber, audio/video) and troubleshoot.
• Ensure safety and industry compliance; provide on-site leadership.
