Job summary

UNICOM Government, Inc. is seeking an Electronics Technician Level 2 in Greensboro, NC to install, maintain, and repair high-end video teleconferencing, audio, and other telecommunications systems.

The role encompasses site surveys, job planning, and supervision of technicians as needed. The position requires an Associate's degree and 3-5 years of AV/IP/UC experience, with knowledge of LAN topologies, ANSI/TIA/EIA standards, and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3-5 years AV/IP/Unified Communications experience.
• Knowledge of LAN topologies (Ethernet) and cabling standards (ANSI/TIA/EIA).
• Knowledge of multi-classification Audio Visual systems.
• Demonstrated safety practices and knowledge of safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform Site Surveys using blueprints/floor plans and reports.
• Develop Job Plans with materials, delivery schedules and lists.
• Build Closets: mounting backboards, cross-connects, racks, fiber panels.
• Install grounding infrastructure and perform tests.
• Install cable support systems and pull cables.
• Terminate connectors and perform splicing; test copper/fiber.
