Job summary

AVI-SPL, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Supervisor in New York to mentor the local engineering group and support the Operations and Engineering Manager. You will lead design reviews, coordinate with management, and drive process improvements in communication and project execution.

You’ll guide the team in EVAV systems design, installation knowledge, and AV technology applications, while maintaining documentation and vendor relations. Travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and lead the local engineering group and support the Operations and Engineering Manager.
• Coordinate with local Operations Management.
• Coach and motivate the team to meet goals and objectives.
• Share and reinforce AVI-SPL standard practices across the team.
• Lead daily huddles to ensure timely completion of engineering tasks.
• Drive positive, team-oriented engineering culture aligned with the company values.
• Assist leadership with departmental goals, objectives, and procedures.
• Perform spot checks to ensure accuracy and standards compliance.
• Conduct lessons learned meetings as needed.
• Review designs, pricing, and hour estimates based on analysis and bids.
• Evaluate products with vendors and act as customer liaison for engineering inquiries.
• Stay current with AV advances and applicability to the organization.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and translate customer requirements into designs.
