Job summary

SanMar seeks a Maintenance Engineer, Autostore to optimize operations in our distribution centers. You will oversee building maintenance, preventive tasks, troubleshooting, parts management and vendor interactions, ensuring stability and performance of MHE and automation rollouts.

The role involves supervising Facilities staff, collaborating with IT, and training maintenance personnel while complying with safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience with industrial equipment.
• 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience maintaining conveyor belt systems.
• May be required to complete and maintain SanMar’s Lift Operator Certification every two years.
• Demonstrated ability and flexibility to quickly adapt to change in the work environment.
• Customer service functional and/or technical support experience.
• Ability to work with all levels of individuals across the company.
• Ability to travel to support SanMar distribution network.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facility and Autostore systems including conveyors and related control systems (photo eyes, solenoids, light beacons, scanners, cameras, VFDs).
• Replace and repair bearings, rollers, belts, gear boxes, motors, air valves, and related components.
• Supervise Facilities employees in the DC; direct work and provide training.
• Review schematics and troubleshoot panel indicators; use manuals for scanners and VFDs troubleshooting.
• Review HMI reporting and clear jams; diagnose fault conditions and implement solutions.
• Collaborate with IT/DSaP staff, DC staff and vendors; communicate status and resolutions.
