Job summary

SanMar is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to optimize operations and supervise facilities at our distribution centers. You will oversee Autostore systems, conveyors and related controls, coordinating with IT and vendor teams to ensure stable, scalable performance.

The role requires experience with industrial equipment, conveyors, and the ability to train staff while traveling to support multiple sites. A flexible schedule and strong customer-service orientation are a must.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience maintaining conveyor belt systems.
• May be required to complete SanMar Lift Operator Certification every two years.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer service and/or technical support experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facility and Autostore systems including conveyors and related control systems.
• Supervise Facilities employees in DC; direct work and provide training as needed.
• Review schematics and troubleshoot panel indicators; coordinate with IT/DSaP staff.
• Train DC staff on MHE, loading/unloading, processes, orientation and quality control.
• Develop preventive maintenance programs and manage spare parts inventory and warranties.
• Comply with laws and regulatory requirements and document maintenance activities.
