Qualifications

• Observe, test, analyze, and isolate trouble sources in automotive systems or components using appropriate test equipment.
• Knowledge of and proficiency with electrical/electronic diagnostic equipment and scanning tools.
• Perform repairs across electrical, emission, fuel, engine, and braking systems with accuracy.
• Record information and complete forms such as parts requests and estimated repair time.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose operating difficulties on a variety of vehicles and perform checks on engines and major systems.
• Conduct road tests before and after maintenance and annotate vehicle problems on work orders.
• Provide guidance to lower-level technicians and maintain maintenance records.
