Job summary

You will diagnose operating difficulties, conduct road tests, use specialized diagnostic equipment, and maintain vehicle maintenance records while guiding a small team and ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Diagnose operating difficulties across automotive systems using test equipment.
• Interpret trouble codes and data from scanners and analyzers to determine repairs.
• Conduct road tests before and after maintenance and document results.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose operating difficulties on a variety of vehicles and perform checks on engines and major systems.
• Perform computerized and electronic diagnostic tests using specialized equipment and interpret data.
• Conduct road tests before and after maintenance and repairs; annotate problems on work orders.
• Troubleshoot malfunctioning vehicles from road calls and identify faulty parts.
• Conduct vehicle inspections, determine necessary repairs, and schedule work.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Provide guidance on repairs and operation of diagnostic equipment.
• Maintain vehicle maintenance records including repairs and hours.
• Assist in training personnel in vehicle repair and CAD equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
