Job summary

Diagnose engines, electrical and electronic systems, run road tests, keep maintenance records, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance; evening shift 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM with Saturdays off.

Qualifications

• Examination, Physical, and Training Requirements: must complete Postal Service Tests 943 and 944.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose operating difficulties on a variety of vehicles and perform checks on engines and major subsystems.
• Perform computerized and electronic diagnostic tests using specialized equipment and interpret codes and data.
• Conduct road tests before and after maintenance and record vehicle problems.
• Provide technical guidance and instruction to mechanics and technicians on difficult repairs.
