• Observe, test, analyze, and isolate sources of trouble in automotive systems or components.
• Use electrical/electronic diagnostic equipment and interpret trouble codes and data.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose operating difficulties on a variety of vehicles and perform tests, including engines and major systems.
• Perform road tests before and after maintenance and annotate vehicle problems on work orders.
• Provide technical guidance to mechanics and technicians on difficult repairs and diagnostic equipment.
