Job summary
United States Postal Service in Virginia District is seeking a Lead Automotive Technician for the Dulles area. You will lead a team of lower level technicians and perform the most complex repairs on postal fleet vehicles.

Qualifications
- Experience diagnosing automotive systems and reading trouble codes.
- Ability to perform electrical/electronic and mechanical repairs.
- Familiarity with electronic diagnostic equipment and service manuals.
- Experience maintaining vehicle maintenance records.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose operating difficulties on a variety of vehicles and perform checks.
- Perform computerized diagnostic tests and interpret trouble codes.
- Conduct road tests before and after maintenance.
- Troubleshoot malfunctioning vehicles from road calls.
- Schedule and assign work for technicians.
- Maintain vehicle maintenance records.
- Provide guidance on repairs and use of diagnostic equipment.
- Ensure safety compliance and environmental regulations.
