Job summary

The United States Postal Service in Virginia seeks a Lead Automotive Technician to supervise a team of technicians in a vehicle maintenance facility and perform the most complex repairs on postal fleet vehicles. You will diagnose, test, and repair engines, emissions, electrical and electronic systems, conduct road tests, maintain maintenance records, and provide guidance to junior staff.

This is a non-exempt, evening shift position with the starting annual salary of $74,422, and requires passing

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing automotive systems with electrical/electronic components.
• Ability to interpret trouble codes and data from diagnostic tools.
• Experience with road tests and documenting repairs.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and environmental regulations.
• Strong communication and training abilities.
