Job summary

Pep Boys is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems while leading a shop team to deliver excellent customer care. You will educate customers on problems and proposed solutions and mentor others to raise service standards.

The role requires ASE certifications, a valid driver's license, and flexibility to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends in our Clearwater, FL store.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of automotive repair and diagnostics experience.
• 4+ ASE certifications preferred (A4, A5, plus two of A1/A6/A7/A8/L1).
• Section 609 certification required.
• State Inspection license if applicable.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Pre-employment background check.
• Availability to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair brakes, exhaust, ignition, electrical, suspension, and A/C systems.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to customers and teammates.
• Mentor and lead shop team to elevate customer care and service standards.
• Maintain organized shop and adhere to safety/environmental rules.
• Keep management informed of repair issues as they arise.
