Job summary

Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers is seeking an Automotive Service Manager to lead the service department, mentor technicians, and drive store performance. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will coach the team and optimize processes to ensure safety and quality in service delivery.

You will recruit, schedule, and supervise staff, work closely with customers on sales and service opportunities, monitor parts inventory, and uphold OSHA standards in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

• Solid knowledge of basic OSHA laws and MSDS Compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide support in the store recruiting process by assisting Store Manager on final employment decisions.
• Supervise technicians and service personnel, plan and schedule duties, assign work, and follow up on completion of assignments.
• Coach service department teammates on operational issues of working the process within ISI systems and service standards.
• Work directly with customers in areas of sales, service, customer opportunities, adjustments, etc.
• Evaluate performance and productivity of all service department personnel.
• Manage parts inventory and outside purchases, ensuring compliance with parts and Tire Purchase Program and restocking in-house parts.
• Ensure store safety, including use and maintenance of safety equipment.
• Ensure equipment/hardware layout and positioning within the service department.
• Supervise shop area, equipment and teammates for compliance with safety procedures.
• Coach personnel on enforcing wheel torqueing process.
• Ensure that proper inspections are being conducted.
