Job summary

Brakes Plus is seeking an Automotive Service Advisor in Texas to join a high‑performing service team. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will lead daily operations, coach technicians, and ensure top‑tier customer experiences while maintaining safety and efficiency.

You will manage parts inventory, schedule activities, and develop staff to meet service objectives. A minimum of 2 years in a Service Advisor/Writer role and a valid driver’s license are required.

• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Ability to develop professional relationships with customers and team members
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Service Advisor/Writer role
• Proven track record of exceeding business objectives
• Ability to work both independently and in a team
• Knowledge of basic OSHA laws
• Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Directly works with customers in areas of sales, service, customer opportunities, adjustments, etc.
• Creates a highly motivated team environment
• Supervising technicians and service personnel, planning and scheduling duties, assigning work, and following up on completion
• Coaching service department teammates on all operational issues
• Evaluating performance and productivity of all service department personnel
• Managing parts inventory and outside purchases, updating and restocking in-house parts
• Ensuring store safety and proper use of safety equipment
• Ensuring equipment layout and positioning within the service department
• Supervising shop area, equipment and teammates for compliance with safety procedures
• Ensuring proper inspections are being conducted
