Job summary

Brakes Plus is seeking an Automotive Service Advisor to lead the service department, drive performance, and deliver an industry‑leading customer experience at our Kaufman store. You will mentor technicians, schedule work, and ensure safety and quality in daily operations.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in a Service Advisor/Writer role, strong communication skills, and a solid grasp of OSHA requirements to maintain high standards and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Service Advisor/Writer role.
• Strong leadership and store management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to develop professional relationships with customers and team members.
• Solid knowledge of basic OSHA laws.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Directly works with customers in sales, service and opportunities.
• Create a highly motivated team environment.
• Supervise technicians and service personnel; plan and schedule duties.
• Coach service department teammates on operational issues.
• Interact with customers regarding sales, service and adjustments.
• Evaluate performance and productivity of service staff.
• Manage parts inventory and restocking of in-house parts.
• Ensure store safety and proper use of safety equipment.
• Arrange equipment layout and service department positioning.
• Oversee shop area and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
• Ensure proper inspections are conducted.
