Job summary

Pep Boys Inc. is seeking a skilled Technician in Merritt Island, FL to diagnose drivability and electrical systems and to lead a team in delivering exceptional customer care.

You will mentor peers, communicate technical issues to customers, and stay current with automotive technologies through continuous training. The role requires 3+ years of diagnostic experience, High School diploma or GED, and at least 4 ASE certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of automotive diagnostic, problem-solving and repair experience.
• 4+ ASE certifications preferred (A4/A5 plus 2 from A1, A6, A7, A8, L1).
• Section 609 certification required.
• State Inspection license if applicable.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Pre-employment background check.
• Ability to work days, nights, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, ignition, electrical, suspension, A/C and computer systems.
• Perform duties of lower technician levels as needed.
• Explain diagnoses and repairs to customers clearly.
• Mentor and assist other technicians; lead the shop team.
• Maintain organized, safe, clean work area and adhere to policies.
