Job summary

Astec is seeking an assembler to join our production team in a fast-paced facility. The role involves cleaning and assembling parts, reading blueprints, and using hand, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools to finish assemblies accurately.

You will move materials with overhead cranes and forklifts, perform minor adjustments under supervision, and ensure safety compliance in all tasks. Teamwork and effective communication are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical concepts, practices and procedures.
• Ability to read tape measures and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Clean and assemble component parts, machined parts and subassemblies.
• Operate hand, pneumatic and hydraulic tools to complete tasks.
• Move parts using overhead cranes and forklifts to assemble large components.
• Perform setup, adjustments or repairs under supervision.
• Follow safety standards and document work and shipments.
