Job summary

G Mining Ventures seeks an experienced Assay Lab Superintendent to lead the site analytical laboratory in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner. The role services Process, Mine Operations, Geology, Metallurgy, Environment, and Engineering, while maintaining QA/QC, data integrity, and readiness for audits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years in related field.
• Minimum 8–10 years in a supervisory role.
• Bachelor degree in a technical discipline or equivalent mine-assay lab experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct laboratory activities to meet turnaround times and production priorities.
• Ensure QA/QC procedures, method control, data reporting, and result validation are followed.
• Lead staffing, scheduling, competency development, performance management, and training.
• Provide technical oversight for fire assay, sample prep, wet chemistry, and instrumental analyses.
• Monitor QA/QC performance, investigate non-conformances, and escalate data-quality concerns.
• Maintain procedures, records, and controlled documentation; coordinate interfaces with Process, Geology, Metallurgy, and external providers.
