Job summary

G Mining Ventures is seeking an Assay Lab Technician to join our OKO West project team in a mining and mineral processing environment. The role involves preparing, processing, and analyzing samples, weighing, digestion, and fire assay duties as trained.

You will follow approved procedures, maintain QA/QC, record data in LIMS, and support safe operations. The job requires at least two years of lab experience, strong English communication, and a commitment to safety, with 14 days on/7 days off

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree/certificate in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Laboratory Technology, Assaying, Metallurgy or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of working experience as an Assay Lab Technician.
• Ability to follow written procedures, perform calculations, and maintain accurate records.
• Strong English communication and safety-conscious mindset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, weigh, digest, fire assay, wet chemistry and other lab tasks as trained and authorized.
• Follow approved procedures, QA/QC, chain-of-custody requirements.
• Prepare reagents, standards, solutions, fluxes when trained and authorized.
• Operate lab equipment per procedures and manufacturer instructions.
• Record data accurately in forms, worksheets, LIMS or approved systems.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and report hazards or deviations.
• Participate in training, competency assessments and safety meetings.
• May perform fire-assay duties when required and trained.
