G Mining Ventures is seeking an experienced Assayer to perform fire assay and related laboratory work in a production environment. This on-site position requires precise weighing, fusion, cupellation, and finishing of assays while maintaining safety and quality controls.

The role involves supporting shift work, handling hazardous materials, and reporting QC results. A technical certificate or diploma in assaying or equivalent experience is required, with at least two years in fire assay and

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of working experience in fire assay or related lab discipline.
• Hands-on competence with routine fire-assay production work.
• Experience with lab data recording and QA/QC practices.
• Strong English written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine fire-assay production work, including sample weighing, fluxing, fusion, pouring, cupellation, prill recovery, and preparation for instrumental finish.
• Operate furnaces, balances, hotplates, and other fire-assay equipment per approved procedures and safety requirements.
• Prepare and handle fluxes, lead-bearing materials, cupels, crucibles, and reagents using approved methods and contamination-control practices.
• Record sample, batch, QC, equipment, and result information in approved systems.
• Report abnormalities affecting assay quality and assist with related laboratory duties when required.
