SWCA Environmental Consultants seeks a Lead Archaeologist - Principal Investigator for the Pacific Northwest. The role offers hybrid and distributed remote work with responsibilities spanning project leadership, field oversight, and technical reporting, reporting to the Pacific Northwest Cultural Resources Director.

Requirements include a master’s degree in archaeology/anthropology, six years of relevant experience (eight preferred for senior), and the ability to travel about 20% of the time.

• Master’s degree in Archaeology or Anthropology required.
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Hold Principal Investigator role; lead technical reports and research designs.
• Oversee field research, data collection, inventory, and final report production with QA/QC.
• Mentor staff, coordinate with project managers, and develop field protocols.
