Job summary

SWCA Environmental Consultants is seeking a Cultural Resources Lead Archaeologist - Principal Investigator to join our Pacific Northwest Subregion. The role involves leading projects, supervising fieldwork, drafting reports, and coordinating with clients and regulatory agencies.

The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in Archaeology or Anthropology, extensive PI experience, and the ability to travel up to 20% while mentoring staff and developing technical standards.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required.
• Eligible to be listed on Pacific Northwest BLM permits.
• Experience with Section 106 and relevant regulatory standards.
• Strong technical writing and QA/QC skills.
• Ability to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex projects, overseeing technical approach and QA/QC.
• Mentor staff and develop protocols for field and reporting work.
• Oversee field research, data collection, analysis, and final report production.
• Draft proposals and contribute to business development.
• Maintain relationships with state/federal agencies and clients.
• Ensure compliance with federal, Tribal, state, local regulations.
