Job summary

Leader Tech Inc. is seeking an Applications Engineer Lead to guide an engineering team and provide design recommendations to customers based on company products and techniques. The role includes CAD design, cost estimates, and ERP data management to support production and quoting.

The ideal candidate will mentor staff, collaborate with sales and OEM engineers, and drive design-for-manufacturing improvements while ensuring project progress and quality objectives are met.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent is desired.
• 1–3 years of industry experience desired.
• Three years' work experience with Leader Tech is desired.
• ERP system experience desired.
• 3D CAD experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor team members.
• Provide engineering support to the sales organization.
• Provide customer service assistance.
• Train customers and employees on company products.
• Work with OEM mechanical, electrical, and compliance engineers to design and implement company-provided solutions.
• Incorporate changes into drawings, tooling, and specifications.
• Design new products from concept to full production.
• Develop cost estimates, proposals, and quotations.
• Develop processes necessary to produce company products.
• Design products in CAD.
• Identify and implement cost reduction and process improvement initiatives.
• Validate and process ERP updates requested by production, purchasing, sales, ECNs.
• Set up all details for parts in ERP software.
• Travel to customer sites may be required.
