United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Staff Application Engineer to lead cross-functional programs from concept to production readiness. You will guide customers on design for manufacturability, manage timelines, and own technical outcomes across design, printing, and validation processes.

The role requires a strong background in CAD/CAE, scripting, and scalable workflows, with leadership across Software, Product, Materials, and Hardware teams.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in product development or design with production readiness.

Responsibilities

• Educate and influence customers on DLS best practices and manufacturability tradeoffs.
• Lead development and optimization of applications across the full lifecycle (design, file prep, printing, post-processing, finishing, validation).
• Drive technical strategy for assigned applications leveraging company technology.
• Evaluate projects for production readiness, cost model viability, and scalability.
• Translate customer requirements into actionable roadmap input for GTM, Product, and Hardware teams.
• Mentor and coach other Application Engineers and develop reusable templates and workflows.
