Job summary

Hydro-Thermal Corporation seeks an Applications Engineering Manager to lead the Applications Engineering team, translating customer requirements into properly sized products and ensuring technical governance from sizing to post-shipment resolution. You will collaborate with Product Development, Project Engineering, and Sales to optimize configurations and margins.

Responsibilities include steering the technical correlation of quotes, providing coaching to engineers, and maintaining standards for

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical, electrical, or related engineering.
Five or more years of applications engineering, product engineering, or related industrial experience.
Demonstrated experience leading people, projects, or technical work; supervisory experience is preferred.
Knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, process data analysis, and the application of engineered industrial equipment.
Ability to translate customer requirements into calculations, equipment selections, configurations, and commercially useful recommendations.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop Applications Engineers; set expectations for performance and growth.
Own the sizing, configuration, and application of Hydro-Thermal products and systems.
Lead the technical portion of the quote-development process with clear scope and handoff to execution teams.
Provide input to costing and pricing recommendations; identify risks and escalation paths.
Maintain documentation including calculation tools, configuration rules, and product knowledge.
