Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Principal Application Engineer for a hybrid role based in San Antonio, TX or New Freedom, PA. You will support chiller sales through HVAC System Branches and coordinate with sales/marketing to deliver system-level expertise for data center applications.

Required include a Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in HVAC or chiller tech; travel up to 15%. Salary range $90,000–$120,000 with a competitive bonus plan and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 3+ years of experience in HVAC or related Chiller Technology.
• Knowledge of refrigeration systems and associated equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily technical guidance to field sales on application and installation of Chiller Solutions equipment.
• Support pre-sale activities with system-level product inquiries and quotations.
• Develop tools and documentation to support field sales and automate common inquiries.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to track product development and share knowledge of current and legacy products.
