Job summary
Johnson Controls, Inc. seeks a Staff Application Engineer to support the sale of Chiller products through HVAC branches and export markets.
You will provide pre-sale technical support, respond to system-level inquiries, generate quotations, and assist order execution with the Order Management and Contract Engineering teams. This hybrid role is based in San Antonio, TX, or New Freedom, PA, with relocation packages available and opportunities to influence data center cooling solutions across
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 10+ years experience in HVAC or Chiller Technology field.
- Knowledge of refrigeration principles and equipment.
- Up to 15% travel for factory and site visits.
Responsibilities
- Daily interaction with field sales to guide application and installation of Chiller Solutions equipment.
- Provide systems applications advice and create quotations; support order execution with teams.
- Develop tools and documentation to support field sales and automate common inquiries.
- Respond to inquiries using in-house engineering systems and product knowledge.
- Evaluate emerging technologies to enhance reliability and energy efficiency of data center chillers.
