Job summary

Huntington National Bank is seeking an Automation QA Lead to define, build, and advance the test automation strategy for the API Gateway platform.

The role combines hands-on automation engineering with quality leadership to ensure reliability, scalability, security, and performance of enterprise API services. You will design modern automation frameworks, develop reusable test suites, and integrate testing into Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in software quality assurance or automation engineering.
• Minimum 5 years designing automated test frameworks.
• Experience testing REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Experience with automation tools such as Postman, Karate, Rest Assured, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress; programming in Java/JS/Python/C#.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the test automation vision and roadmap for the API Gateway platform.
• Design scalable automation frameworks for API, integration, regression, performance, and security testing.
• Establish quality engineering standards, testing best practices, and automation governance.
• Partner with engineering and product teams to embed quality throughout the SDLC.
• Define quality metrics, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
