Job summary

Huntington National Bank is seeking an Automation QA Lead to define, build, and advance the test automation strategy for the API Gateway platform. You will lead platform‑level quality, design scalable automation, and integrate testing into Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable releases.

The role requires hands‑on automation experience, API testing expertise, and DevOps practices along with the ability to mentor engineers and drive quality improvements across enterprise services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in software quality assurance, automation engineering, or quality engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience designing and implementing automated test frameworks.
• Experience testing REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Postman, Karate, Rest Assured, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent.
• Experience developing automation using Java, JavaScript, Python, C#, or similar programming languages.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the test automation vision and roadmap for the API Gateway platform.
• Design and implement scalable automation frameworks supporting API, integration, regression, performance, and security testing.
• Establish quality engineering standards, testing best practices, and automation governance across the platform.
• Partner with engineering, architecture, product, and platform teams to embed quality throughout the SDLC.
• Define quality metrics, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
