Job summary

Huntington National Bank is seeking an Automation QA Lead to define, build, and advance the test automation strategy for the API Gateway platform. This role combines hands-on automation engineering, quality leadership, and platform-level test strategy to ensure reliability, scalability, security, and performance of enterprise API services.

Qualifications

7+ years in software quality assurance, automation engineering or quality engineering.
5+ years designing automated test frameworks.
Experience testing REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
Proficiency with Postman, Karate, Rest Assured, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress or equivalent.
Automation development using Java, JavaScript, Python, or C#.
Experience in Agile and DevOps environments with CI/CD integration.

Responsibilities

Own and drive the test automation vision and roadmap for the API Gateway platform.
Design scalable automation frameworks for API, integration, regression, performance, and security testing.
Establish QA standards, testing practices, and automation governance across the platform.
Collaborate with engineering, architecture, product, and platform teams to embed quality in the SDLC.
Create automated validation for API proxies, security policies, routing, authentication, and traffic controls.
Lead sprint planning, write test plans, and perform defect analysis with remediation validation.
Mentor engineers on automation development and quality engineering techniques.
