Job summary

Huntington National Bank is seeking an Automation QA Lead to define, build, and advance the test automation strategy for the API Gateway platform. You will lead hands-on automation, drive quality engineering best practices, and ensure reliability across enterprise API services.

You will design modern automation frameworks, develop reusable test suites, and integrate testing into Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines, while mentoring engineers and promoting shift-left, automation-first quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in software quality assurance, automation engineering, or quality engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience designing and implementing automated test frameworks.
• Experience testing REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Postman, Karate, Rest Assured, Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Experience developing automation using Java, JavaScript, Python, C#, or similar programming languages.
• Experience working within Agile and DevOps environments.
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the test automation vision and roadmap for the API Gateway platform.
• Design and implement scalable automation frameworks supporting API, integration, regression, performance, and security testing.
• Establish quality engineering standards, testing best practices, and automation governance across the platform.
• Partner with engineering, architecture, product, and platform teams to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Define quality metrics, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
