Job summary

Huntington National Bank is seeking an Automation QA Lead to define and advance the test automation strategy for the API Gateway platform. You will design modern automation frameworks, build reusable test suites, and integrate testing into Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.

The role requires hands-on automation experience, quality leadership, and a strong background in API testing, security, and performance. Office-based with potential flexible work arrangements is noted.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years in software quality assurance or quality engineering.
• Minimum 5 years designing automated test frameworks.
• Experience testing REST APIs, microservices, distributed systems.
• Experience with tools like Postman, Karate, Rest Assured, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress.
• Experience automating testing in Java, JavaScript, Python, or C#.
• Experience with Agile and DevOps; CI/CD integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead platform QA strategy for API Gateway testing and automation.
• Build scalable automation frameworks for API, integration, regression, performance, and security testing.
• Embed quality practices across engineering, architecture, product, and platform teams.
• Develop automated validation for API configurations, policies, routing, auth, and traffic controls.
• Participate in sprint planning, create test plans and automate scenarios.
• Mentor engineers on automation and quality engineering techniques.
