Job summary

Huntington National Bank is seeking an Automation QA Lead to drive test automation strategy for the API Gateway platform. This role combines hands‑on automation, quality leadership, and platform‑level test strategy to ensure the reliability, scalability, security, and performance of enterprise API services.

The successful candidate will design and implement modern automation frameworks, develop reusable automated test suites, integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines, and establish quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in software quality assurance or quality engineering.
• Minimum 5 years designing automated test frameworks.
• Experience testing REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Experience with automation tools such as Postman, Karate, Rest Assured, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress.
• Experience programming in Java, JavaScript, Python, or C# and working in Agile/DevOps.
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Define, build, and lead the test automation strategy for the API Gateway platform.
• Design scalable automation frameworks for API, integration, regression, and security testing.
• Embed quality engineering standards and governance across the platform.
• Collaborate with engineering, architecture, product, and platform teams.
• Develop automated validation for API proxies, security policies, routing, and auth controls.
• Lead testing for platform enhancements, upgrades, and production fixes.
