Job summary

Huntington National Bank seeks an Automation QA Lead to define, build, and advance the test automation strategy for the API Gateway platform. You will combine hands‑on automation with quality leadership to ensure reliability, scalability, and security of enterprise API services.

You will design modern automation frameworks, develop reusable test suites, integrate testing into Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines, and mentor teams on quality engineering best practices across the platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in software quality assurance, automation engineering, or quality engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience designing and implementing automated test frameworks.
• Experience testing REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Postman, Karate, Rest Assured, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the test automation vision and roadmap for the API Gateway platform.
• Design and implement scalable automation frameworks supporting API, integration, regression, performance, and security testing.
• Establish quality engineering standards, testing best practices, and automation governance across the platform.
• Partner with engineering, architecture, product, and platform teams to embed quality throughout the SDLC.
• Define quality metrics, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
