Job summary

Southern Management is seeking a Lead Technician/Service Manager to lead a skilled service team in our Virginia community. The role combines hands-on troubleshooting in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, and related trades with leadership responsibilities.

You will hire, train, coach, and manage the team, maintain schedules and logs, and ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable laws. This full-time position runs Monday–Friday, with on‑call backup as needed.

Qualifications

• CFC certification is required.
• Three years of maintenance-related experience.
• Ability to hire, train, coach, and manage a service team.
• Ability to lead and coach two technicians.

Responsibilities

• Lead a service team and ensure compliance with company standards.
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, exterior structure, tiling, masonry and appliances.
• Schedule, conduct and document regular meetings; manage contracts and budgets.
