Job summary

Artcraft Management, Inc. is seeking an experienced Maintenance Lead Technician to oversee day-to-day maintenance at a Richmond-area community. This hands-on role requires leadership, strong HVAC and general repair skills, and a commitment to exceptional resident service.

You will supervise a maintenance team, handle preventive maintenance, coordinate apartment turns, and participate in on-call rotations. A Virginia driver’s license and EPA certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of apartment or building maintenance experience.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances and general repairs knowledge.
• EPA certification preferred.
• Virginia driver's license and proof of insurance required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work indoors/outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day maintenance operations for the community.
• Complete service requests and ensure excellent resident service.
• Coordinate apartment turns to prepare homes for new residents.
• Perform preventive maintenance to keep the property operating efficiently.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, appliances, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and other building systems.
• Supervise and mentor the maintenance team.
• Maintain inventory and work with vendors when needed.
• Help maintain beautiful grounds and common areas.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency maintenance.
