Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with hands-on team leadership.
• Strong command of Kotlin and Android app architecture.
• Experience shipping long-running background work like audio playback.
• Proven ability to introduce lasting improvements and handle friction.
• Experience collaborating with AI agents and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to influence how teams work and drive reviews.

Responsibilities

• Own major features end to end, from design through release with design team.
• Maintain and improve reliability metrics for key features.
• Review pull requests and provide constructive feedback.
• Unblock the team when blockers occur and align versions.
• Shape how the team uses shared components and enforce consistency.
• Lead process changes and verify nightly builds for QA.
• Mentor junior engineers and help them grow critically.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering to align constraints.
• Handle critical issues and own feature releases.
