Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with team leadership.
• Proficient in Kotlin, Coroutines, Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture and Android internals.
• Experience shipping long-running background work such as audio or services.
• Strong emphasis on testing and quality assurance.
• Proven ability to drive change and handle friction in teams.
• Experience describing team work with AI agents and automation.
• Product design intuition and user empathy for Android UI/UX.

Responsibilities

• Own major features end to end with design collaboration and release ownership.
• Maintain and improve reliability metrics for key features.
• Review pull requests and give constructive feedback.
• Unblock the team when blockers arise and drive decisions.
• Ensure shared components are stable and well-documented.
• Plan and optimize team processes and verification steps.
• Collaborate across Product, Design, and Engineering early.
• Handle critical issues and deliver nightly builds for QA.
• Mentor junior engineers and grow their skills.
